Meet the Surgeon General

We have a new Surgeon General in town. An unusual choice, but a smart one. It is about time we recognize the contributions to our society by Indian Americans.

The following is the infamous debate between Sanjay Gupta and Moore regarding some facts on Larry King Live. It is a must watch at this point to understand little more about Dr.Gupta. He may seem to lean right or convey the republican ideology, but he does seem to agree on the basic principle that health care should be available to all Americans. He did mention it is “shameful” that we are in such a state. At the beginning of this debate it might seem like Mr.Moore is picking on Dr.Gupta but it is not worth getting into the motivations of Mr.Moore and analyze whether it is racially or ethnically biased. (Yes, there are democrats/left wing people who look at people with different last names and cultural backgrounds through colored lenses, but lets hope that is not the case here.)

This debate does show one thing. Dr. Gupta does have the communication skills necessary for the Job. Of course it is obvious from his gigs at CNN and CBS.
